Damsel in De-stress

(SOLD) $200. 60 x 90 cm. Acrylic Brush and Pen on Canvas.
Very late each night after her shift at the petrol station, she snuck down to the lonely Glenelg shore from her
apartment. To anyone on the beach, she appeared to be stuck hopelessly in a rip. But she had relinquished
control to feel her body float with the ocean. It was dangerous swimming alone in the dark, but it had become
her therapy- a secret nightly ritual. On the surface, the water violently smattered her face. But deep within,
her spine stretched out and corrected itself to the core. She didn’t care if the waves swept her out deeper to
sea. She just needed to feel the salt on her skin. She longs for the ocean like she needs it in order to live,
but as soon as she touches the water, it reminds her that she’s already alive.
