Artist statement
"I was doing one a day, well I would kinda stay up all night and then roll into reception at ungodly hours and get my key to the next room, then go crach and repeat for like, a month, I did 30 something artworks. This one I was channeling kinda cynical and angry vibes because the results of the Australian 'postel survey' were being released and I can't fully explain how bizarre that was to be watching from Amsterdam. I don't typically use red because it has an aggressive feel to me and I already run too hot for it when I'm painting, you can see my cognitive dissonance in the piece but this is one of my favourites in my Amsterdam series'
