Rainbow Handfish

A tribute to the first marine fish to be declared extinct in modern times. The Smooth Handfish of Tasmania has only
been recorded recently a handful of times and is thought to have probably been decimated by the arrival of colonial
Europeans- who initially reported that the waters were brimming with them! Across the planet, a dozen or so other
variants exist of this strange-shaped, bottom-dwelling creature, doomed to either sit or wander the ocean floor by hand.
Its slow and silent disappearance echoes a bleak warning without special fanfare. The clock is ticking to put safe-gaurds
in place that will keep other marine life from meeting the same fate as the Smooth Handfish.
